Sealed bids for the construction of a new parking lot on the south side of City Hall will be received by the City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 at which time the bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131.  Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project name, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope.

The Scope of Work is based upon the construction of a new 29-space parking lot just south of City Hall. The base bid is for a concrete curb with asphalt pavement, but the City will entertain an alternate bid for concrete instead. The project also includes a bioretention feature, which requires a permit from the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD). Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications. A major renovation of City Hall is scheduled to start in January, so it is imperative that this new parking lot be available for use by the end of February.

Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.

A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
