Annual Comprehensive Financial Report Program

The Department of Finance produces an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the past twenty six years. Des Peres is one of only a few cities in the State of Missouri to achieve that recognition.

The Certificate Program, established in 1945, is designed to recognize and encourage excellence in financial reporting by state and local governments. Participation in the program reflects a significant proportion of larger general purpose governments in the United States. Over 68% of all cities and 46% of all counties with populations in excess of 50,000 participate in the program, as well as 42 state governments.
