Sealed bids for the Tallie Drive and Vinetta Drive Improvements Project will be received by the
City of Des Peres, City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Friday, April 12, 2019 The bids will then
be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:05 PM in Council Chambers, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131. Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project name, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope.

The Scope of Work for the Tallie Drive and Vinetta Drive Improvements Project includes roadway improvements along two roadways: Tallie Drive and Vinetta Drive. Bidders shall itemize their costs on each roadway separately and add them up in the bid form provided in this document. The Scope of Work for Tallie Drive consists of the construction of sidewalk on one side of Tallie Drive from Manhattan Avenue to the parking entrance at Pioneer Park. Construction includes ADA curb ramps, vertical curb relocations, driveway reconstruction, new crosswalks, minor grading and sodding, a rectangular rapid flashing beacon system and a 2-inch mill and overlay between Manhattan Avenue and Lillian Avenue. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications.

The Scope of Work for Vinetta Drive consists of the construction of new 2-foot wide curb and
gutter as well as a 2-inch asphalt overlay from Route 100 (Manchester Road) to the end of Vinetta Drive. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications.

Bid packages will be available Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from the Des Peres City Clerk, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131 or they can be downloaded by clicking the link below.

In order to bid as the prime contractor, a representative must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting held at 2pm on Friday April 5, 2019 at Des Peres City Hall.

Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.

A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best
interest of the City.

Special Requirements:
Clarification from the Pre-bid meeting was that sod must be watered and kept alive until roots have established or cooler fall weather. An official addendum has been posted.
