1. How do I get a copy of a police report?

Contact the Police Department at 314-835-6200 or in person Monday-Friday 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. and Saturday 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. Reports are typically available within 5-7 business days but it is suggested you call prior to confirm the report is complete and can be released. A fee of $5.00 is required before you will receive a copy.

2. Do you always accept job applications?

Applications are only accepted only when there is an opening. The positions will be posted in the Job Postings area of our website. View Job Postings

3. Are tours of the station available?

The Des Peres Department of Public Safety offers tours of the Public Safety building. As this is a public safety building, tours include police, fire and EMS facilities and equipment. Short, topic specific informational talks can be included in the tours, depending on the group, amount of time and request.

4. Can I get fingerprinted at the Police Station?

Des Peres Police do not offer fingerprinting. Contact St. Louis County Police or Missouri State Highway Patrol.

5. Can I get a child's car seat installed?

Yes. Residents can call 314-835-6200 to set up an appointment and one of our certified inspectors will make sure that your car seat is properly installed and safe for use.

6. How do I request a vacation check of my home?

You can stop by the police department, or print a copy of our "Out of Town Notification" form in the "Forms" section. Fill out and return to Des Peres Department of Public Safety, 1000 N Ballas, Des Peres, MO 63131 or fax 314-835-6205.

7. Where can I get no parking signs?

You can pick up signs at Des Peres Department of Public Safety ,1000 N Ballas, Des Peres, MO 63131. You must contact our dispatch office first to fill out a request form.
