The City of Des Peres Parks and Recreation Department provides a great balance of a strong park system with recreational activities for the community. A wide variety of recreation programs are available for all ages.

Programs & Events
Programs include dance, summer camps, sports leagues and clinics, tennis, art and martial arts, just to name a few. In addition, we offer several special events throughout the year, ranging from an Easter Egg Hunt and Summer Concerts in the Park to the annual Halloween party. We strive to offer something for everyone in the community.

Facility Reservations
Looking for a place to hold your family reunion or company picnic? The Parks and Recreation Department rents picnic shelters in Des Peres Park and Pioneer Park for such events, plus a whole lot more.

We also rent the soccer and baseball fields in Des Peres, Pioneer, and Sugar Creek Parks for your practice or team picnic. In addition to the picnic shelters and ball fields, our parks offer paved trails, playgrounds, restrooms, spray fountains, a lake for fishing, and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors in the heart of this metropolitan area.
